Welcome to NC2600

We are a group of hackers from North Carolina and surrounding areas

NC2600 is the home of North Carolina's original hacker community. Our current incarnation has been meeting regularly since the early 00's, with a legacy going back to the original 2600 meetings in the early 90's. From our earliest days we have endeavored to nurture and grow the local community, having run CarolinaCon for over 15 years, run a hacker lab, started a 501(c)(3) non-profit group, and more. Over the years, many people have come and gone. Some people show up to a single meeting and are never seen again, while others have been attending regularly since the beginning. Members of our community have gone on to found a number of other groups in the area and these days the local hacker community is larger and more active than ever. In the spirit of 2600, meetings are held in public places and everyone is welcome to attend.
